Several notes today:
- The Ohio High School Athletic Association said there are 828 member schools for this school year. Four schools were admitted this past spring, including Oyler and Riverview East Academy.
- The OHSAA’s Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine announced its 2010 Outstanding Team Physician Awards. Dr. Robert Burger (La Salle), Dr. Timothy Kremcheck (Moeller) were among the three individuals honored.
- Lakota West senior middle hitter Liz McMahon left for Singapore on Aug. 9 to represent the U.S. Junior National volleyball team. She was one of 12 players to make the team following tryouts in Colorado this past March. T
