McAuley center commits to Ohio Dominican

McAuley senior center Melissa Scherpenberg verbally committed to Ohio Dominican last week, according to McAuley basketball coach Andrew Schroer.
Scherpenberg also considered Bellarmine and other programs.
Scherpenberg averaged eight points and eight rebounds last season, according to Schroer. She was first-team all-Girls Greater Cincinnati League Scarlet division.
